The Computer Center is responsible for the management and maintenance of the information system of the University. It is entrusted with the duty to continuously develop, modernize and improve their websites for the convenience of users. Online services available for students cover the issues ranging from admission to graduation; including learning and teaching and student welfares. Registration

Online Registration Procedure:
1. Students may access the online registration website, http://regist.psu.ac.th/, from within or outside the Campus, using Web browsers Internet Explorer v.5, or Netscape Navigator v.4.7, or higher versions of the browsers.
2. Fill in Username and Password assigned by the Registration Office; select the academic year and the semester one wishes to register, and click “OK”.
3. A window with the word “Auto Complete” is shown; click “No”.
4. Click “Yes” after the word “Security Alert” is shown.
5. To add subjects:
       5.1 Click “Add New”.
       5.2 Fill in the subject number or subject name in the “search word” box, then select “Find” if it is not a thesis subject, otherwise select the word “Find here”
       5.3 A new window is shown with the listing of every subject corresponding to the keyword selected in step 5.2, select the required section of the desired subject upon which a link is then established to permit the selection of the type of registration (credit, or non-credit, or audit). If it is a thesis subject, there will be additional box into which the number of credit to be enrolled must be filled in. Click “Add”.
        5.4 Repeat steps 5.1-5.3 for each new subject one wants to register.
REMARK Care must be exercised in selecting the subject required because there exist subjects with the same name but different in subject numbers, and those with the same subject number but different in names.
6. Addition/ Withdrawal of subjects:
       After completing step 5 of the registration process, students may access the system anew for the addition/withdrawal of subjects.
       6.1 Withdrawal of subjects:
          6.1.1 Select the subjects one wants to withdraw, from the list of confirmed registration subjects.
          6.1.2 Click “Withdrawal” and the subjects are then shown separately.
          6.1.3 Click “Withdrawal” button one more time to confirm the subjects to be withdrawn.
          6.1.4 To make final decision on withdrawal/ deletion of withdrawal.
               6.1.4.1 Click “Delete withdrawal” to delete all the subject originally selected for withdrawal (do not wish to withdraw any subject)
               6.1.4.2 Click “Check All” to validate the subjects desired to withdraw.
               6.1.4.3 Click “Registration” to confirm the withdrawal.
       6.2 Addition of Subjects:
          6.2.1 Perform the operation of steps 5.1-5.3, and the subject to be added are shown.
          6.2.2 Correction of number of credit or type of registration
               6.2.2.1 Select the subject needed to make a correction, then click “Edit”. The subject to be edited will be shown. Select the correct type of registration, C: Credit, or N: Non-credit, or A: Audit, (Editing of the number of credit is permitted only if it is a thesis subject.)
               6.2.2.2 Click “Edit” .
          6.2.3 Deletion of the subject
               6.2.3.1 Select the subject one wants to delete, then click “Delete” and a window shows the subject.
               6.2.3.2 Click “Delete” to confirm the deletion.
          6.2.4 Click “Check all” to verify the validity of addition of subjects. If problems exist for any subject, the probem will be stated, otherwise the statement “Every subject is valid and ready for registration” will be shown.
          6.2.5 Click “Registration” to confirm the addition of subjects.
7. Sign out after finishing the operation.

Check E-mail

After being accepted into Prince of Songkla University, the student may use all available services of the computer center by using PSU Passport as the key. Each student is automatically assigned the E-mail address, which is the student identity number preceded by the small alphabet “s” and followed by “@psu.ac.th”, for example s483544441@psu.ac.th.

Registration Office

The Registration Sub-division is responsible for all registration related activities and the evaluation of academic performances of students of Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus. Its mains duties comprise,

    • Arrange and carry out the registration of newly admitted students
    • Keep personal and academic records of students, and update these data regularly
    • Organize subject registration for students, for each semester
    • Issue Student Identity Cards
    • Co-ordinate class scheduling and assigning of teaching rooms for each subjects
    • Co-ordinate examination timetabling and assigning of examination venues
    • Arrange for the signing of compulsory contracts for medical and dentistry students
    • Provide detailed working schedule on the processing of examination results, and calculate the GPA of students for each semester
    • Announce the results of academic performance of students for each semester
    • Carry out the program completion verification for students of every programs of study, and submit the results to the University Council for the granting of degrees/ diploma
    • Prepare the production of Degree/Diploma certificates
    • Issue transcripts
    • Issue certified education-related documents
    • Provide counter services to students

Job Search

       PSU Job Search is the website dedicates to online employment advertising and job application. The services are provided for students and alumni of the University, and for companies, corporations, and agencies who want to participate in the PSU Job Search project. Students and alumni can search for available jobs of the listed companies, corporations and agencies; and those who have registered can deposit their resumes or vitae with the website. The registered employment sources may search for listed job-seekers whose qualifications match their requirement. Online application for jobs is available, and on-campus interview by employers may be arranged via coordination with the Student Affairs Division, Prince of Songkla University.

Learning Management System

Prince of Songkla University Learning Management System is established with the purposes of supporting the teaching and learning of staff and students of the University. The system is based on the free course management system software Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment). The users can create online teaching lessons which may be applied to the teaching and learning in the styles they desired

Transcript and Certified Educational Documents

Request for transcript and certified educational documents can be carried out Online. The online system also permits the following up of the request.

  • For current students : Student identity number and password are needed to logon to the system.
  • For alumni : Thai national identification number and birth date are needed to logon to the system. However, alumni who enrolled as students of Prince of Songkla University prior to 1996 must register with the system first by filling in the required personal and academic information before they can access the system.
        At the present, the service charge for mailing the requested transcript and certified educational documents to any address within the country are as follows:
  1. service charge for sending 1-5 copies of documents               50 Baht/ request
  2. service charge for sending 6-10 copies of documents                70 Baht/ request
  3. service charge for sending more than 10 copies of documents    70 Baht/ request
